Joshua Tree Elopement
Where To Go
I met Brandon and Shannon at the North Entrance of Joshua Tree. Check out this post to see why I suggest the north entrance! We drove about 10 minutes into the park from there and that is where we began our adventure! Whiskey and Wild Flowers parked and set up their super cute tailor and prepared for a celebration toast while we adventured around at golden hour. The sun peaking over the mountains was so incredible and helped create some incredible golden images! Brandon and Shannon have such great chemistry and it really shone through on their elopement day!

How They Met
Believe it or not Brandon and Shannon actually met at Applebee’s. Who would’ve thought?! It was a week night after 10pm, because they have “half off appetizers and who doesn’t love a good discount!” Shannon had just arrived to meet one of her friends for a bite after working out at a gym down the street. Still sweaty and gym clothes still on, she sat in a booth a few tables across from a high-top table of about 5 guys.
Brandon walked over to them and with more unabashed confidence than Shannon had ever seen, started up a conversation with them. Before they knew it, they had been talking outside on a bench for hours. They quickly realized Applebee’s was closing, and Shannon started looking for her keys to head home. She looked everywhere inside for them, and they were nowhere to be found. She tried calling her friend, and she didn’t answer. Later, Shannon found out that her friend had mistakenly taken her keys, since they both drove Hondas at the time, and so she was left without a ride. She then asked Brandon for a ride home, but before she got in the car with him she asked for his ID, called her mom and read off his entire name, address, and driver’s license number. She said, “If I’m not home in twenty minutes, this is the one that killed me.” 🙂
As they pulled up to her house, they talked for a little while longer and eventually Brandon kissed Shannon. This would be the very spot that he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!
