WOW. What an epic elopement day!! This Hurricane Ridge Elopement at sunrise was absolutely incredible. We woke up way before the crack of dawn to make sure we got the most epic light for their sunrise ceremony. I met Joy & Ty at their cabin at 5:00am and we hopped in their car and headed off to Hurricane Ridge which is located in Olympic National Park!
Once we arrived and parked they changed into their wedding gear since it was only 1.5 mile hike to get to the top. We started our hike and enjoyed the views as the sun was starting to rise and hit the mountain peaks.
When we arrive at the end of the hike the views were to die for! They were supposed to have their pastor there with them but plans changed and they ended up video calling him and doing the ceremony that way! I’m still so surprised that the service was so good up there!! It was a beautiful ceremony as they said their vows to each other as the sun was still rising. When their ceremony was complete we explored the area and enjoyed the views as we waited for their family members to meet us along the way.
They did “stations” with family members on the way down the hike. So, we met different groups of people on the way down to perform different parts of their ceremony! It was such a special and unique way to include their family while still having private and alone time with just the two of them.
No matter how or where you want to elope, you can do it!! There are no rules for eloping and I’m here to help you bring your vision to life. Keep scrolling to check out the rest of this amazing Hurricane Ridge Elopement!
A few words from the bride about her Hurricane Ridge Elopement!
What unique elements or DIY details did you include?
We did a feet-washing ceremony. We washed each other’s feet as a symbol of showing how we hope to serve each other humbly in our marriage. It was one of our favorite parts of the whole day!
What was your favorite moment throughout your Hurricane Ridge Elopement?
Our vows at sunrise were breathtaking. I didn’t think I would be emotional, but the whole moment just came together perfectly and brought a flood of emotions! The sun coming up over Hurricane Ridge was stunning!
Describe your elopement day in your own words.
It was perfect! Everything turned out better than we could have planned! I loved having the family involved to perform different portions of the wedding. It felt very intimate and meaningful. The whole day felt like “us”. We couldn’t have done it without you!!
What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be eloping?
Know what you want and to be ready for other people not to understand it. Don’t give up your vision because other people can’t see it! This is about the two of you and nobody else.
