The beauty of a ‘just us’ elopement is that you don’t have to worry about a thing! Really!! You truly get to have a day where you’re stress-free and having the time of your life. After I started helping Alyssa and Luke plan their elopement day and we got started talking about location they quickly fell in love with the idea of having an Indian Peaks Wilderness Elopement in Colorado.
These mountains are absolutely gorgeous and typically less crowded than their next door neighbor- The Rockies. They booked a cute Airbnb in the middle of the mountains where they spent the morning getting ready, writing their vows and picking their wildflower bouquet which I put together for them after all the flowers were picked! Let’s just say I’m a jack of all trades 😉
After their bouquet was complete we hopped in the car and headed off to a local brewery in Nederland, Colorado. Here they sat down to enjoy a sour beer and I got to enjoy one with them! Let’s just say, I don’t complain about my job at all!! I truly have the coolest job.
Moving on! 🙂
While we were at the bar they were surprised with confetti, cake, and free drinks! Luke’s Dad had called the bar beforehand to set it all up for them. They were so surprised and it’s safe to say a good time was had while we were there!
Once we left the bar we headed off to their trailhead to start their hike to their ceremony location. When we arrived at the lake they started off by reading letters from their family! This is such an amazing way to include your loved ones without them physically being there. If you’re looking for more ideas be sure to check out my guide to Eloping with Family!
When they finished reading the letters from their family they pulled out their vows and started their ceremony. It was full of laughter and lots of tears! After they were done with their vows they exchanged rings with one another and shared a first kiss. Then, we enjoyed the views for a bit longer before starting their hike. When we got back to their car they grabbed a bottle of champagne and we wandered into the forest where they shared a toast and took a moment to celebrate their nuptials!
It was an amazing and carefree day! If you’re looking for a fun and relaxing day like this be sure to reach out and let’s get started planning your dream elopement!!
