Most brides put a LOT of effort into planning their wedding or elopement. You spend months finding the perfect venue and plan out every single little detail. Then, with a blink of an eye you said “I do”, the wine is gone and the dancing has ended. After all that hard work there is little to remember your day besides your memories and your photos.
I know when I got married everything felt so surreal to me and the whole day I kept saying I feel like I’m not at my own wedding. Everything flew by and just like that it was over! Thank goodness I spent time finding a photographer I loved so that those memories could be treasured forever. I have them all over my house and albums that I look through all the time!
Some people decide to just keep them locked up on a hard drive. Don’t you think that’s a waste? After you spent time finding a photographer you loved and planning the perfect day you need to display those babies everywhere! It’s time to invest into printing your pictures. In my opinion, it is so important to print those beautiful photos and let me tell you why. Here are 4 Reasons To Invest In Printing Your Photos!
4 Reasons To Invest in Printing Your Photos
1. MEMORIES TO TAKE YOU BACK IN TIME
Looking through an album in chronological order will be like a time machine. You’ll remember things that you had forgotten that will bring a smile to your face. There is something special about actually holding the image in your hand verses having it only on your screen. Sorry not sorry, but this is where the old school ways will always win!
2. WORKS OF ART
You most likely spent a lot of time and effort into choosing the perfect photographer for your day right? If you value photography that is what you did. If not, then keep reading and hopefully I’ll change your mind 🙂 If you chose your perfect photographer you probably spent a good amount of money investing into this person who creates images that you adore. If you already spent top dollar for the best photos, shouldn’t you treat them like the work of art that they are?
For an additional fee, most photographers will offer a printing service, and can take care of designing an album and printing whichever images you want to display in your home. I will always recommend ordering through your photographer, because the shop they use to print will be top notch.
I wasn’t a photographer when I got married, but I still knew the value of having a good wedding photographer, but I printed some of my photos out at CVS (biggest cringe ever!). Yup.. CVS Pharmacy. Please don’t do that and learn from my mistakes!
3. A TREASURED HEIRLOOM
Having a quality wedding album is something that you can pass down from generations. Your grandkids or nieces and nephews can look back and make fun of your dress 😉 Not to be glum, but it’ll be something that family members can remember those who may not be with you anymore. I don’t think you want to remember your loved ones only by a silly photo with a filter over it. It will be a meaningful heirloom and momento for future generations.
4. PHOTOS ARE TIMELESS
Do you really think technology has taken over? I think not. How often do you actually go back through Facebook albums to remember a certain day or event. Not very often if at all huh? Growing up my mom always put scrapbooks together and I love going through the old photos of my family. When I went to Holland a few years ago to visit my family there you bet old photos were taken out of family members I barely remember and pictures of my Grandparents when they were young.
This is a way to make sure your memories don’t disappear. By investing in quality prints you can be sure that they will be with you for a lifetime and for generations to come!
