This elopement in the beautiful mountain town of Breckenridge was so special! The bride, Jill, and groom, Mike, rented a beautiful home to host their 13 closest friends and family for their elopement day. Jill spent the morning drinking mimosas with her bridesmaids, doing each other’s hair and makeup as Mike and his groomsmen relaxed in the jacuzzi, drank a few beers, and got their suits on!
When they were done getting ready it was time for Jill and Mike’s first look in the woods behind the house. First looks are always such special moments! Over the years of documenting elopements, the bride and groom tend to have some nerves built up if they get ready separately. Then, as soon as they see each other the nerves are gone, the tears flow, and then they’re ready for their adventure! This first look was no different. 🙂
Once we were done with the first look I got everyone organized and set up for the ceremony. They have a few friends read a few things to them before they said their vows and exchanged rings. Their dog, Doug, wanted to be a part of the ceremony so he decided to plop himself down in front of everyone as they were saying their vows. It was a pretty hilarious moment!
Once they wrapped up their ceremony they spent some time relaxing with everyone and shared a toast and played some lawn games. When the time came the three of us hopped in their car and headed off for their sunset adventure to a few stunning lakes! We walked around the lake as the sun was setting behind the mountains and enjoyed the views.
Afterward, we headed back to the house where they shared a first dance, hung out with their family, ate dinner, and then danced the night away!
