Artist Point is one of my all-time favorite places for elopements! The beauty this place has is absolutely incredible. It’s such a versatile place for all skill levels and adventure seekers! If you want to go on a moderate or hard hike, it has them. If you want to go for a fun and easy walk, it has them. There are so many options and places to go and see here that you truly can’t go wrong when choosing to have an Artist Point Elopement in Washington!
Lauren and Kevin stayed in the cutest A-frame Airbnb on the mountain where they spent a relaxing morning getting ready. Once they were both ready they shared a first look in front of the cabin where they took a moment to enjoy looking at each other all dress up and shared a little dance and laughed.
When we were ready to go we hopped in the car and headed up the mountain for their adventure! When we arrived at Artist Point we walked around and enjoyed the moody PNW views and ‘ooh and awed’ at the beautiful fall colors! When they were done exploring the area we headed off to the trailhead where we did a little hike. When we came across the perfect spot overlooking a lake with mountains in the back they shared their vows and exchanged rings with each other! After their ceremony was done we continued the hike and enjoyed the amazing views along the way.
Then, we headed back to the cabin where they had a classic combination of pizza and champagne! 🙂 After they ate we went outside where they had a bonfire, roasted s’mores, and read advice cards from family back home!
It was a beautiful and perfect elopement at Artist Point!

When did you realize that you two were meant to be? What made you want to marry each other?
I think we both realized pretty early (like within 3 months!) on that we had found something really special in each other. We wanted to get married to celebrate the commitment we were making to each other every day. We are so compatible in every way and we wanted to make sure that lasted forever!
What unique elements or DIY details did you include?
Our families signed a champagne bottle for our wedding night (a sort of guest book since we were eloping). They also wrote advice on cards for us to read on our wedding night which was super fun!
What was your favorite moment from your Artist Point Elopement?
For Lauren, it was seeing Kevin’s face during the first look! For Kevin, it was the freedom we had. We didn’t have to entertain guests and could really focus on each other!
Describe your wedding day in your own words.
Breathtaking! We spent the early morning getting legally married at the county courthouse. After that, we stopped for breakfast in town. We came back to the Airbnb and relaxed a bit before Courtney met up with us. We spent some time getting ready while Courtney worked her magic. We did our first look and headed up the mountain! I doubt the two of us have ever seen anything more beautiful. We were very relaxed and at ease with the whole day. We loved being so close and connected with each other and with nature.
What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be?
Just do what will make you happy! Don’t worry about expectations from other people and just make sure it’s what is going to make you happy. Life is too damn short not to do everything you can to be happy!!
Any fun story about you two or any additional information you would like to add?
The first time Kevin told Lauren he loved her was when he was waking up from anesthesia (so obviously she thought he didn’t actually mean it!).
