If you have never been to Germany it must go on your bucket list! I was so excited when I talked to Walker and Mack about their session while they were taking a vacation in Germany. They had asked if I had knew of some cool places to go near where they were staying and while the list can go on and on of all the amazing place in Germany I thought Heidelberg would be a great choice. It is a smaller town, unique and offers beautiful scenery. This Adventure Session in Heidelberg Germany was one for the books!

Adventure Session in Heidelberg Germany
Location Scouting in Heidelberg
When I did my location scouting beforehand I knew I wanted to check out The Philosopher’s Walk in Heidelberg. It is in the mountains and there looked like there was some beautiful places for some photos. So I went hiking and found some perfect spots! I found an old little shack, the Thingstatte and some old Monastery ruins.
The day I went location scouting the weather was perfect and the sun was shining. However, on the day of our photo shoot the fog rolled in nice and thick, but I was actually pleasantly surprised because it gave me the ability to take some awesome shots that wouldn’t have been as cool without the fog!
Learning to embrace the weather no matter what during my session’s is the best thing because it will always provide some unique opportunities!
I talked to Walker to get some fun information about these two.
The Love Story
How did you two meet?
We met in Nashville, Tennessee. I was going to school and Mack was working at a coffee shop. I was taking a film photography course that led me to take some photos in his shop. He gave me free coffee after letting me take some photos of him making it and the rest was history.
When you did you realize that you two were meant to be? What made you want to marry each other?
Pretty much immediately after we went on our first “date”. It was more of chill hangout but I basically stuck him with a bunch of my foreign friends and he held his own and didn’t need to be socially “babied”. That’s when I knew.
How did he propose? Were you surprised or did you expect it?
He pretended like a photographer friend of his needed to take photos to build his portfolio. We went through an hour long shoot before he proposed. I knew it was coming, and was 100% sure it was happening that day, but he doesn’t know that 😉
What are some of your favorite things to do together?
Traveling to new cities, working on our home, walking our dogs through the woods.
Any fun story about you two or any additional information you would like to add?
What really makes us work is that I’m insane and he levels me out and he’s cautious and I make him more spontaneous. It’s really a perfect match.
